Salt
Pepper to taste
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, trimmed of fat, cut in 1/8" slices
3 T. diced onion
1 1/2 cup beef broth or bouillon
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, peeled and sliced
3 T. cornstarch

Put oil in skillet; cook gently with the garlic for about 2 minutes and

Stir constantly until meat is nicely browned. Add beef broth and sliced

well into the broth, cook over low heat. Stir constantly until broth is
thickened. Serve piping hot.
