Yes. To be honest I did not realise what to elect a black man for president can mean in USA. For good.
But also for bad if it fails. Except in Kenya, his native land, I do not think that it will mean anything for Africa if he does not meet such expectations. Obviously he will not. But in USA?, Also, I did not realise what to elect a black man for president can mean in USA for bad. How many more opportunities has the US system to waste? and once I have seen the reaction in USA, how many opportunities as huge as this one? I wrote here the consequences of the failure in the period 1968-1973. This one can be worse because the economic situation is worse and because the meaning of this new administration is deeper. Since now on it is the root of the US society what is under scrutinity by Americans. Probably, a black president must reach higher results than a white one to be judged as acceptable, even during a deep crisis. But the expectations are there, people will judge this new administration according to them, not according to the exact promises that he told using the precise language of a lawyer. If Americans has to downsize those expectations now, it will be a complete failure. Really risky period, But nowadays USA can achieve success only assuming big risks. I dismissed how important has been this election poll for USA, I was wrong. Peace and best wishes.
