I think they had many Gods and Goddesses. In China, I think that, nowadays, people who believe in something use to believe on several Gods and Goddesses. Even if they practice a religion, they use to practice two or three religions, not just one, at least in the Northeast. I think the only people who have a religion by tradition and culture such as the Hui (Muslims) have just one religion. I mean, most people have none, and if they have any they use to have several faiths. But this is just what I think, I did not read any statistic about religions, ever.
