This is very exciting. Two of the world's greatest powers, working together through the young people. Nothing could be better.
If I had a small child now, I would make sure that he or she learn Chinese. It is the language of the future. No one needs to learn English any longer -- in years to come it will be like Latin. Some of the terms that are in use now because older languages don't have the words to describe, will remain in the speech. But while people will remember the roots, they will no longer have the need to learn the language. It is as it should be. I am reconciled that the experiment failed. Bush has shown us the way in which to abuse the system so that like Humpty-Dumpty it won't be put back together again. Trust isn't everything it's cracked up to be.
