We do not celebrate christmas in Beijing, but any time is good for
celebrations, then probably one day we will celebrate it too :)

But I want to share with you something important. The source of Opera,
the Peking Opera that went to Japan, to Korea and to Europe in the
middle age and then became the main spectacle for everybody,
worldwide.

If you do not have a plan for this weekend and want to have a walk
around Beijing, ...

LOL

Currently in the National Centre of Performing Arts in Beijing

If you cannot get tickets (people use to get them weeks or months in
advance) there are many little theatre in downtown Beijing and also
outdoor (but not in December, only from April to September more or
less)

A great theatre-restaurant in the old Qianmen railway station and a
walk along the Hutong district, the Forbidden city, Tiananmen, Qianmen
Dajie and the temple of Heaven (or Tiantan) sounds great in spring or
summer, day or night is ok, Qianmen is even better at night. This walk
will be unique.

In that case, do not miss a walk around Zhongnanhai, near the
Forbidden city. To enter in is forbidden, but just the outside
atmosphere is interesting.

This walk could take one whole day (if you do non-stop).

I think it is a great present that you can give yourselves for
Christmas or for any other seasson.

Enjoy these days and enjoy this gift one day if you want.

Peace and best wishes.
