Perfect? Well, almost perfect, maybe. He has enormous hands and feet for his size, which is probably because the statue was meant to be on top of the Duomo in Florence, and the perspective would be different.
When I was in Italy our guide showing us the David statue was an Italian man, and he said that he was the original model (uh-huh), but that it was very, very cold that day, so it doesn't accurately depict certain parts of his anatomy. I laughed until tears ran down my face! There are David statues all over Italy, by the way, but the original is in a museum in Florence (can't think of the name, not the Uffizi).
