China has the highest rate of the abuse of antibiotics. On Friday, a training project kicked off aiming to teach medical staff across the nation to use antibiotics responsibly. The project will last two years, with over 30,000 medical staff in grassroots medical organizations around the country receiving training. One survey shows that about 30 percent of Chinese people use antibiotics when they are ill or have relatively minor discomforts.
