Yes, he is very cozy, soft, like a teddy bear! It was adorable even at 3 am, Even considering I had to wake up at 5 am for work! :o)
He doesn't usually wake up until the alarm goes off, then he comes over and starts licking my face until I get up! Maybe he just knew something was going on outside...
