I believe you refer to the word "ENSHALLA" in slang Arabic, which reads " EN
SHA'A ALLAH." in proper Arabic.

Yes Islamicaly ( where a lot of Arabic culture is derived from and vice_versa)
God has a big respect and presence ( in belief). The translation of that
statment means : IF GOD WISHES, or wanted.

However it was embeded in our slang language life, and was used as a sign of
being lazy than respect. You may go to Egyptian - whom I dislike- carpenter and
ask him when will you finish this work what ever it is, he will reply (
Tomorrow ENSHALLA) , and he may never finish it ..

But that word is being used most of the time, in the same manner "YOU SEE" used
in English.  I mean a link word than having any background or expressing
anything more.

I think you have an Arab word that means more or less, "let ut hope
so, if that is God´s will". Right?

Peace and best wishes.
