I agree, Malaysia or Indonesia are good candidates too, I cannot bet
which one is better, But they are not as cheap as Laos or the border
with NKorea. If you think that Shaghai (the most expensive city in
China) is cheap, imagine Vietnam, much cheaper than China. And finally
Laos, much cheaper than Vietnam.

The routes from Southern China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, India,
Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand will meet in Laos.
