My comment: Obviously situation is extemely different from country to
country depending both on how hard crisis beats them and on how
resielient is each social network.

To change policies now comes a bit late if they are already in place,
as both ASEAN and China bottomed and step by step economies are
growing faster. But we have to use the Asian capacity of learning to
take lessons for future crisis. We cannot avoid crisis, but we can
prevent that they beat us beyond unavoidable. In my opinion, those
lessons should mostly aim at 1) wealth creation. no single coin is
wasted when we invest it in roads, railways, buildings, energy, etc.
that is one half the real wealth of a country. 2) the other half of
that wealth is people. Happiness, confidence, education, health,
wellbeing, etc. is the best medicine against crisis. Not for charity
but their preparation for future. We cannot change our today, but we
can change our tomorrow.

Many times, economy is more related to common sense than to what we
study in universities.

Peace and best wishes.
