Actually Haiti not only gained by independence "by a slave revolt", but before that there had been a slave revolt every two years over its entire history. Clinton and Bush both put down Haitian slave revolts, and so did the US Marines in the first part of the 20th century. Clinton actually put down democracy in Haiti in a pretty subtle way and that's why, and also how, he has been chosen to continue CIA-Bilderberger suppression of democracy in Haiti by an award to Bill Clinton of $250 mil. Similarly, as famous Haitian author Edwidge Danticat explains on Democracy Now, US agricultural aid to Haiti has been used to destroy Haitian agriculture, in tandem with US trade policy of removing tarriff barriers so cheap foreign rice can be dumped in Haiti to the complete destruction of their former ability to grow rice and be independent in food production. Obama has continued the subtle US war on Haiti, as Danticat explains, by turning back Haitian political refugees from the CIA coup puppetry and its CIA latin-american- style death squadding. Danticat's own dad was murdered by that US policy. Naomi Klein writes in Shock Doctrine that donated international aid can be diverted or used against the people, for example in Indonesia and Sri Lanka after a tsunami. In the same vein Bill Clinton received $250 mil allegedly for Haiti, and his wife, who honeymooned in Haiti with Bill years ago, covers for the donors of millions for democracy suppression by saying that development donors had "lined up" for Haiti before this earthquake, which belies the fact that the hurricane happened in September 2008, so if donors are still doing the circular macarena now in 2010, and Bill has done nothing with his $250 mil, Hil is only covering up what Naomi Klein exposes in Shock Doctrine with regard to Indonesia and Sri Lanka. The subtlety of how Bill Clinton was actually acting against democracy in Haiti when he was supposedly saving it, so that in effect Clinton hurt Haitian democracy as much as George Bush's USN Seal team kidnap of Haiti's elected President, both presidents really acting in concert with CIA coups and death squads, is well explained by Lenore Jean Daniels, PhD, at http://blackcomment ator.com though I don't know if their past issues in archive are free to read without subscription. Customarily current issues of a publication are often held back to subscribers only and past issues are free, but I don't know how the new subscription policy works there. This Dem Now interview shows signs of what I was expecting, that one thing Haiti needs right now is volunteers to install wifi links of 25-50 miles and blanket coverage starting with select nodes like refugee centers so people can find family and help, and then working outward so rescue personnel can communicate with their bases. The government has not visited Gonnaives, hurricane disaster area, so don't wait for government to restore anything or provide security. Keywords would be atheros dish gulf coast hurricane wifi madwifi Malik Algiers. I'll keep looking. They have internet TV in Haiti right now, replacing broadcast TV. That's what I'm talking about. -Bob ======= S1000+ ======= --- On Wed, 1/13/10, muckblit <[email protected]> wrote:--
