The Centennial Cabinet, composed of a cross-section of national and international church leaders, serves as the steering committee. The larger leadership group, the Centennial Ministry Team, includes about 150 pastoral and ministry leaders from around the world. Cooperating agencies include the Pentecostal World Fellowship, the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America, and numerous other coalition groups and parachurch ministries. The Center For Spiritual Renewal is coordinating the meeting.

The Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity to Experience the Reflection and Reality of the World’s Greatest Revival
To bring together all the various streams of the movement
To commemorate the rich heritage of the movement
To lift up the diversity while demonstrating the unity of the movement
To celebrate the dynamic progress of the movement’s first 100 years
To evaluate the movement’s response to the divine mandates given at Azusa Street
To seek the face of God for the movement’s future direction
For nearly three years, intercessors around the world have been petitioning the Throne of God on behalf of the Centennial. A
continuous 120 hour prayer meeting will be going on during the
week of the Centennial events.

For the past several years there has been a increasing hunger among many Christians for God to send a mighty revival of worldwide proportions. There is a growing sense that this Centennial may well be the catalyst that sparks the beginning of that revival.

In all the events of the Centennial, a conscious effort will be made to glorify God rather than to lift up personalities. Consequently, emphasis on individuals will be kept to a minimum in advertising materials and, in the Centennial Assembly at the Coliseum, no speakers will be announced ahead of time.

One of the major characteristics of the Azusa Street Revival from its inception was the unusual sense of unity that prevailed among the diverse group of participants. Divisions and differences were given to God. Many are praying that same spirit will envelop the Centennial.

In all the Centennial planning, provisions have been made to allow the Spirit of God to move in ways that will impact all who attend. It is anticipated that many will be saved, filled with the Spirit and healed; and that the gifts of the Spirit will be in full operation.
