Hi, this was made necessary because of using new helper functions from libxml2, more precisely from tree.c. I know that I have one machine I sometimes work on that only has 2.6.32 (Debian lenny), so I have a patch that puts tree.c's code under "#if LIBXML_VERSION > 20702".
