Details:
The use of libcurl.m4 isn't perfect yet it seems. I ran configure as
follows:
./configure --host=i586-mingw32msvc --with-sdl-prefix=/mingw
--with-libcurl=/usr/i586-mingw32msvc/ --disable-sdltest
This is a cross-compile setup. Configure fails on 2 occasions:
checking for curl-config... /usr/i586-mingw32msvc//bin/curl-config
checking for the version of libcurl... 7.16.2
checking for libcurl >= version 7.0... yes
checking whether libcurl is usable... no
[...]
checking for libcurl... no
configure: error: *** No libCurl found. Please install a valid libcurl ***
Maybe this is due to the compiler used (normal gcc and not mingw's). The .m4
file is coming from the gnupg project, which hasn't updated it. Maybe there's
something wrong with how we use it, or how I run configure.
