Who is in charge of the "Extend" page that you get to from the WordPress top nav menu -- http://wordpress.org/extend/ I think it could use some work.

a) Home page -- the text is all about themes, how about something about plugins as well (see c below for suggestions)

b) Click on Themes, and you get "Featured Themes"
      http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/
(which I don't think has been updated in a while). How about instead giving users a list of these links: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes (intro to themes, how to use and install, and how to find them) http://codex.wordpress.org/Templates (comprehensive list of theme resources)

c) Click on Plugins and you get nothing useful. The links are out of date and not the best ones to view there... how about instead writing a short page that sends users to the following: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins (how to install and use plugins)
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins (how to find plugins)
http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_Resources (comprehensive resource list)

Just a thought --
    Jennifer
