"These settings apply to this post only. “Pings” are <a href=\"http://codex.wordpress.org/Introduction_to_Blogging#Managing_Comments\"; target=\"_blank\">trackbacks and pingbacks</a>." ...applies to both /wp-admin/post-new.php and /wp-admin/page-new.php. In the second case, it should say "to this page only" instead of "to this post only". Thanks. -x.
