this is as simple programmer error:
You have been promoted to % for the group: \"%s\".\n
the first % between "to" and "for" has no type specifier.
The code must be changed first to something similar to:
You have been promoted to %s for the group: \"%s\".\n
but have to be inspected and repaired by a developer!
If it would not be repaired, at some older PHP versions this may lead to
a crash of PHP interpreter.
BTW: If it should not be a text replacement, than %% should be there :-)

Please, I'd like some help to correct an error I'm getting while
translating BuddyPress.
I can't see what's wrong. The string is as follow:

"\n"

msgstr ""
"Você foi promovido a % do grupo: \"%s\".\n"
"\n"
"Para ver o grupo visite: %s\n"
"\n"
"---------------------\n"
The error message:
buddypress.po:2215: format specifications in 'msgid' and 'msgstr' for
argument 1 are not the same
Could somebody help me, please?
