The latest entry on sk.wordpress.org is about 10 days old,
and on the wordpress-i18n repository there are 2.9 files in the tags
tree, here:

So, this doesn't seem to dead at all, inspite of the fact, that there's
no 2.9 release in Slovakian :)

As all of you I am one of wordpress users, that want to contribute to
this CMS by translating it.
My main motivation to do so, is that I am running Slovak-wordpress on my
site and I am sort-of precise guy...
so I want to have everything updated; but it took to long to get Slovak
version of latest wp build. I was trying
to contact our Slovak translation team through forum at web wp.sk about a 2
months ago offering a hand, but with no luck.
And I have tried it recently too.Even now I am running only 2.8.6 because
there are no signs of 2.9 on official slovak translation site.
Site is looking dead, there is not any new article or something since
24/12/2009.
Our translation team looks dead, compared to our closest neighbour Czech
Republic traslator at separatista.net.
So if any Slovak translator is subscribed to mailing list please contact me,
I would like to help to speed things up... :)
