Yes please - count me in as a positive vote.
Moshu - I'm not totally up to speed with my php but I would have
thought a 'template' type example approach here should suffice for
most people. And as Andy says, not using this doesn't stop the theme
from working and being a great theme.

No! :-) The lack of advanced functionality doesn't make a theme
invalid. Perhaps the default theme will support this, which would give
you a nice example to work from.
