They don't have to make any new post, just bring up any published post
and save repeatedly.

Actually they will probably have a better time loading
wp-admin/execute-pings.php from the browser. 2.1 will have a fix for
this but it didn't make it into 2.0.1. Sorry.

Only if they're trying to ping their own server, and only until 2.1
comes out. This limitation aside, it's still a good setup.
