Longtime WP lover, first-time list poster: I'm not a coding ninja, but I enjoy checking out new stuff coming down the pipeline. Is grabbing a copy of 2.1 something y'all would recommend for someone like me, or is it more or less just for those who can really bang on it and scope out the code for holes?

If it *is* open for the general public to at least check out (maybe not even on a production blog), would any of you mind explaining (or directing me towards instructions on) how to pull down a copy or 2.1? I checked out the trac and found the source trunks 'n whatnot, but what's the trick to getting set up with a full copy?

If this really is not for n00bs right now, I won't be a bother.

Thanks for all your hard work on a killer platform.
