But, the issue becomes, is for people that aren't using an external feed
reader and are simply using their browser. And, because some browsers do not
support "feed:", you won't get the RSS feed.

That is a theme issue, in this case the default theme. Many people,
Matt included, prefer this syntax -- but there are as many people that
don't like it
