Yeah, my bad. They didn't show up when I checked after the import because I didn't have Akismet running on my testing server. I turned it on, and there they were. Thanks for the pointer, Peter.

Do they by any chance have Spam comments associated with them?

I believe these get included in the WXR export and will therefore be
imported.
