I see. I can even reproduce it with one application, while others open it just fine. The thing is, I create the archive with GNU tar, and this is the usual way to create a tar.gz file on a Linux system. I have also played a bit with the --format switch, but no luck. So unfortunately I don't know what I can do to fix it. (If anybody has a clue, I'd be happy to hear about it.) Btw, somebody interested in the script itself? Here it is: http://www.zirona.com/download/wpsvn/wpsvn.sh Maybe somebody with a larger audience wants to set up something similar so more people can use the dev packages. But of course, you can always link to my site, too. ;) http://www.zirona.com/blog/software/have-fun-with-wordpress-svn/ (Please no discussions about whether people wanting to use dev packackes should be able to set up an SVN client.)
