I haven't had time to peruse around the latest tickets to see what was
you folks did with the plugin auto updater but whatever it was, it works
like a charm for me so far. In fact, when I did a test update of Aksimet
I happened to blink when I clicked on the auto upgrade link and it was
done already (well almost). here's what I missed:
Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/akismet.zip
Unpacking the update
Deactivating the plugin
Removing the old version of the plugin
Installing the latest version
Plugin upgraded successfully
Attempting reactivation of the plugin
Plugin updated successfully
This is the first time the plugin updater *did not* ask for my FTP info
as it has previously. I have to test the larger plugins of course
but...Good Job!
