I just got word this afternoon via that thread that DD32 linked to that
Gears will be pushed out early and in time for the release of
Firefox3.0.1 (posted by Aaron Boodman).
"I released Gears 0.3.24.3, which is marked for compatibility with
Firefox 3.0.*, to 1% of public users Friday afternoon. I plan to
increase that to 10% then 100% over the next few days, in time for the
Wednesday afternoon schedules release of Firefox 3.0.1."
Nice to see an entity as large as Google come through with something like this.
Just passing the word.

Anyways, it's not like Gears says it's compatible and then just
doesn't work. People will just have to be patient.

That's my next stop, Matt but it's getting near midnight where I am so it
will have to wait till morning. I need to be coherent. I might hear back
from the Firefox dev's by then also.
And from my experience I would have to say that the majority of bloggers and
CMS'ers who run their sites using WordPress actually do use Firefox over any
other browser. It's perfectly compatible with the Admin and available themes
and it's cross platform so it covers Windows, OSX and the various flavors of
Linux distros. Either way, I'll let you know what I find out.

Now guess which browser is used by nearly all WordPress users in order to
administer their WP install?
Firefox...
That seems like a bit of a stretch...
Have you made Google aware of this issue?
