No offense here but disable what? Does that mean plugins, various WP
settings? Disable everything is a bit vague (or perhaps I'm just abit
thick?). ;)
By the way, WP 2.6.1(pre) is still chugging along just fine.

I too feel that WP 2.6 is pretty much slower than for instance the 2.5.1
version.
It´s especially painful when working with posts. I experience slow save
times
and changing from writing a post to editing one is equally painful.
Sometimes
it takes five to ten seconds to complete a task that previously happened in
a blink of an eye.
Overall I experience that the administration runs slower. Much slower.
