Yep. I am talking about replying to comments from the dashboard.

Jeff,
On your first issue. Are you referring to the comments section in the
Dashboard? If so I have to agree. Perhaps the comment sections could
be made to be expanded? Otherwise, I'm looking at my Comments page in
the Admin (latest 2.7 auto-update) and the entire comment is there in
each single comment section. Each single comment section is expanded
to the width of the actual comment length. Hitting the "Reply" link
drops the reply to comment editor underneath that particular comment
section so I can easily refer to the entire comment when replying. Not
arguing your point at all, just wondering where you're seeing this.
I have to agree with your second point, the title of the post really
needs to be linked to the actual post and the # symbol linked to the
edit page for that post (in case someone comments that something that
needs to be changed?).

This has been a longstanding issue for me since the ability to reply
to comments was added to the backend. For starters, there is no way
for me to read the entire comment if it is longer than the box it is
displayed in. This makes replying difficult since I can't see the
whole message. I recommend either having a display full comment link
or when I click on Reply, I get to see the entire comment I am
replying to.
Secondly, it drives me nuts that when I click on the post title that
the comment was published on, it takes me to the post editor and not
the actual post. What kind of logic is that? I'd rather see it work
where I click on the post title link and it takes me to that post and
then to the actual comment on the page. That would work much better
in my opinion.
