For me the widget section loads as fast as the rest of the dashboard. Maybe
a plugin with a built in widget that is not compatible with 2.8 is causing
the problem?

I don't know if it's just me, but are others finding the WP 2.8+ Dashboard
widget admin screen incredibly slow when dragging and dropping widgets, or
even opening/closing widget area tabs? Frankly, I find it virtually
unusable.
I'm using WP 2.8.1. Browser is FF 3.0.11/Win.
Could be a problem with my PC, but thought I would ask.
