I wrote a post for dev blog per last dev chat about setting scope for

Also created a forum thread to start the discussion of which features
might be worth putting in 3.0. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/345127
If we can keep the discussion about 3.0 scope there instead of
splitting it between there and the list, that will make it easier to
keep track of public opinion and start the new year off with a good
understanding of which features have the most support.
