Time to delurk again.

I've been working with the Alpha on a couple of test sites. One is a small one 
with just a couple of posts, on my standard web hosting, the other is a copy of 
my live site (over 4,000 posts), running on MAMP.

On rev 13845, the menu editing page works fine on the small site, but fails to 
complete loading on the larger one. It stops rendering after the "Add custom 
links" box - no page footer, and the "Page Options" link doesn't work.

I've looked at the source of the rendered pages, which was, err, "interesting". 
In the (hidden) div for "Add an Existing Post", it appears to be loading not 
just post titles (which could lead to a moderately large page), but the whole 
content of the post, which will rapidly lead to an insanely large page (the 
working site comes to over 300kb, the non-working one dies without rendering 
the DIV in question.
