Kind of related to recent exchange over whether http://host/post_type/ should default to something other than a 404...
With a site setup to show a Page as the home page and a Page assigned as the Page for Posts, wp_list_pages marks that Page as the parent so that my site navigation highlights "blog" as the active part of the site even when you are in "classified ads." (It also affects some Breadcrumb plugins.) Maybe this could be solved by the notion of a series of settings (args for register_post_type?) that allow you to assign other pages to post types? A. PS - Any pointers to what I can filter to manage this myself in the mean time?
