I tried again, this time with no plugin installed, still the same white page.
I made that select (SELECT autoload FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = '_site_transient_update_core') in phpmyadmin and returned this: MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). ( Query took 0.0003 sec ) For those who don't know what the "error" is: Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.0.zip. Unpacking the update.
