If I add this to the end of my themes functions.php then the excerpt pages
work correctly...
add_filter('get_the_excerpt', 'test_excerpt', 1);
function test_excerpt($text){
return trim($text);
}
This leads me to believe that something, maybe the post updating function,
is leaving a bit of whitespace somewhere.
