Just so that it doesn't create further confusion, I believe the "Fast
Graphics" referred to here is a misunderstanding of what FastCGI is.

I wrote a big long response to this and then decided it really doesn't
belong on the list. So I've turned it into a post on my site. 

In short, CGI no longer stands for Computer Graphics Interface as it did in
the DOS era. It is now the Common Gateway Interface and governs how the
server talks to console programs.
