Oh, i'm sorry to you, but i'm happy because i'm not the only one
hitting this bug. ;)

I've done some testing, and i confirm all what you are saying.


AFAIK the trouble born if you install the WPKGSetup 'client' with an
user (eg, Administrator) AND without the ALLUSERS=1 optons.
If you then run the settings file with the same user, all gone well.

But if you run as a different user (and indeed WPKG run as a SYSTEM
user), this bug apply; the bug is a bit serious, because wiping the
%PROGRAMFILES%\WPKG ACL you prevent the WPKG service to run at all,
pratically cutting yourself away.


AFAI tested, this bug does not trigger if you install with ALLUSERS=1,
at least with 0.90.
