While not exactly the target person of your response, I actually have something to offer in your inquiries, at least with the 'more than one profile for host' item is concerned. I have already incorporated a patch based on a previous modification to wpkg.js from someone else's prior work. I believe I integrated it into the latest wpkg.js script that was available and is backwards compatible so that the old syntax of a profile-id attribute within a <host> tag is recognized as well as <host> <profile-id> <profile-id> </host>. Was also working on making the wpkg-web comprehend that syntax as well, though that work is currently incomplete. I can work on making a diff file for you to look over.
