FYI - We are about 50% done integrating WPKG management with OpenAudIT and a
distributed network of PCs/Servers. Currently, the WPKG config has to be pushed
or pulled to a server local to the PCs as I've found no way for a PC to
stand-alone and get it's WPKG installs from a webserver. I already have all the
distributed stuff working with shell scripts. So for instance I add a few
packages to a PC configuration and then push the updated xml files. The PCs are
configured to check WPKG every hour and do an openaudit scan after installing
WPKG stuff (post action). So we will know within an hour if a PC got the
software (take care with auto reboots). So the integration with openaudit is
web-clicky stuff to build package xml files and modify profiles. Oh yeah, and
one change we are making is that each host has a profile directly (one-to-one
mapping of host and profile) and we added a "template" layer. this means that
you can build a profile-template and then apply to a bunch of hos
ts, but fundamentally each host has it's own profile. I just found this easier
when hosts needed fine-grain adjustment.

Anyway, I would open source this code if anyone has any interest, just let me
know.
