Yes, this should be possible.

Try a profile definition like...

<profiles>
  <profile id="myprofile">
        <package package-id="firefox" />
        <variable name="MAXBANDWITH" value="10k" /></profile>
</profiles>


Then use a package like


<packages>
        <package name="" id="" installdate="2007-11-23T22:00:00">
                <variable name="" value="" lcid="asdf" />
                <download target="sdfas" url="" timeout="" />
                <check>check</check>
                <install cmd="wget --limit-rate=%MAXBANDWITH% ..."></install>
        </package>
</packages>

This should allow you to use different bandwith limitations for each
profile.
