Anyway: for all such MSI-related stuff I use the wonderful utility InstEd http://www.instedit.com/ (no, I'm not affiliated ;)) Besides editing MSIs iff you know what you're doing, it allows you to view all the tables, including "Property" which contains the ProductCode and you can copy the value from within insted.
In general you can always use the MSI file instead, since the upgrade will use the latest installed version to remove the application.
I don't keep all the versions and have never encountered any problem in using the MSI to remove the program.
