Summary: Feature: enhanced logging per package Product: WPKG Version: other Platform: PC OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: wpkg.js AssignedTo: man...@wpkg.org ReportedBy: wpkg_bugzilla.20.ko...@xoxy.net QAContact: wpkg-users@lists.wpkg.org At the moment it is possible to create a log for every client and save this log to a network destination. An admin has then to watch all client-logs to get an overview where a packaged is already installed and if the installation was successful. I would like to suggest to optionally create a additional log file for every package. After installation of a package wpkg should write a single line to a logfile (with the name of the package) and add the name of client, result (error, success) and date/time. Note: I guess, in my environment there should be no problems with concurrent file access. However, for big environments there should be a logic how often wpkg tries to open the file and how log it has to wait between the retries. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.wpkg.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- wpkg-users mailing list archives >> http://lists.wpkg.org/pipermail/wpkg-users/ _______________________________________________ wpkg-users mailing list wpkg-users@lists.wpkg.org http://lists.wpkg.org/mailman/listinfo/wpkg-users
