hey, I've been maybe 8 times across the country
on all sorts of roads, this time we're hurrying
even though I don't know ADM & one time had to go
for 35 hours because of 'frontier days' which
filled Cheyenne to the gut we kept going to Indiana
pulled into a rest stop slept on the shift

Alan,

Cheyenne! Thai food downtown
mall on the north end
military base northwest...

Cheyenne! Home to this
nation's finest liquor store
(Town & Country Liquor 614 South Greeley Hwy)
with a wine inventory catering
to the Wyoming politicos
(remember, these are GOP supporters
so drive slowly at the speed limits)
and low friendly prices
just south of town center.

Stay at the Comfort Inn
the one on I-25
South of the I-80 inter-change
rooms are free of interstate truck noise
and breakfast is free...

But, Alan
driving on the interstates
crossing the nation
means you miss the essence of America...

Slow down
Take the by-ways
the state highways
see the towns
feel the people...

If you crossed Ohio and Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska on I-80
you missed seeing the hundreds of delapidated family farm houses
that clutter the country-side
you missed the fallen in barns, the crumbling silos, the weed overgrown lanes
you failed to see the sorrow in the eyes of men and women
who have seen their way of life and living smothered over by corporate interests
you missed seeing the results of ADM's impact on America's family farms...
