Whose god needs crosses and prayers, anyway?
Fall in line with at least one idea.
If a human accompanies it,
Of whatever, whichever gender,
Attend to this person, also.
Accompany me
As I extract verbs from the sky.
Offenbach often looked back
But rarely to Spain.
Remove the moon from your cheeks
When you speak to the stars.
Keyhole gazing causes glaucoma
Of the mind.
If pretend and pretension
Were the same word,
Childhood would be fancy
And all death premature.
Let the outside wait;
We will see what it can do.
Justifying the ways of man
To god is easy.
Whatever you say receives
Only a silent response.
Red chalk doesn't mean debts
In our daydreams of Heaven.
Whoever was the mother
Of this so-called God
Should have used birth control
In time as well as
Inside and outside of time.
Mocked or marked, we
Learn how to go on and off
And on again and again.
