I haven't been able to find images of their labyrinthine clean-tube fab
but it sounds interesting. they build spherical micro ics.
its a maskless process it says on their site, so they must
be using some form of e-beam technology which is basically
like using a sem for a scanner AND an etcher in one..
it must still be r&d.

I see things at the nanoscale all the time. mostly things
like plastic dust (usually from a robot arm rubbing some cover)
which appear as freakish magrittish boulders
on the delicate geometric substrate, but it isn't anywhere
near  the atomic level..
