Also like to think of it in this inverse sense, reading is in the middle, writing is the output, also literary, well, the "activity's" reaching-out, expansion, capitalism, colonialism, preaching-out maybe.. btw, the norwegain philosopher, still 'active' in his 90's, Arne Næss, promotes not activity but active-heit, somewhat, well, he's a preacher also, of deep ecology, influenced by Spinoza and Gandhi. Anyway, 'activity', what could it mean any longer? Sure, but activity?
