Cages
That is the number of pigs at one California facility who are kept
in tiny indoor "gestation crates" during their entire pregnancy. These sentient beings are confined in
barred metal cages in a constant forced cycle of pregnancy and birth. Farm Sanctuary has filed a landmark lawsuit
against Corcpork, Inc., challenging the intensive confinement of pigs kept by one of California's largest pig

![]() Rescued Rooster Finds
Friendship and a Happy New Home
Tony was found wandering the
streets of New York City last fall. The tiny bantam rooster had likely escaped a live poultry market in the area
and would not have survived long on his own. Rescued by a Farm Sanctuary staff member who lives in the city, Tony
was brought to our New York Shelter. A short time later, he captured the heart of a volunteer intern at
the farm and was adopted. Today, he is living a life of luxury with his new mom and dad. Read more about
