Your Best Shot*

  Draw me a dance.
  The waves laugh.
  What starts in the hands
Was really born in the brain
  Or it makes no sense.
  Welcome to poetry
Where logic needs to be introduced.
  The spiral consists of circles.
In another time, we expect a radiant outcome.
  Become the center.
  If you choose the periphery,
The sun may have to move closer.
  Prayer wheels turn
  But stand in one place
  Simultaneously.
Let go of that sand mandala
  Once it is finished.
  Either your mantra tells you
  Or I will, whichever
Your prefer to need to hear.
  Does vocal music begin
  With our first scream?
  Sometimes it ends
  With a later one.

Jesus no longer moves on his cross.
Had he been taught to dance,
Would he have had another option?
  Get in touch with words.
  The right ones can
  Return you to your music.
  The earth moves
But your dance is more varied.
  Even earthquakes may have
  The same rhythm.
When they throw up their arms,
  Someones fly
  But not very far.
  Their song requires words
  No one understands.
  At their crumbling temple,
  We make new circles
  Around and about our desires.
  Onstage as well as off,
  Health brightens your eyes
And lightens the spirit behind them.
  A lover who understands you
Would be a nice bicycle to the next life,
  Wherever he or she is.
  My work is my specialty
  Everyone is involved in.
  Come back full of love.
  It works better than vegetarianism
Except to some flowers and trees.
Ring a bell for dead lovers.
Ask the mind if they appear.
  The past remains friendly
  If you live there.
Never put on a sorry face.
  Your dance is unique
  Even when you're only walking.
  Everyone has burdens to balance.
  The eagle is land
  But will reascend soon.
The heart of health salutes you.
  It dances, too.
Your end could be a new beginning
  But no one knows.
