Hi,
I'm a first time user and currently using an
evaluation version of WS_FTP Server.
I can't get it right, even searched the
knowledgebase for information and tried out the information I've found there,
but it still doesn't work.
Running on a Windows NT 4.0 server, using NT SAM
database and activated 'Use NT user file and directory permissions' but getting
the message when I try to login:
Connecting to 192.168.0.2:21 Connected to 192.168.0.2:21, Waiting for Server Response 220-taurus. X2 WS_FTP Server 2.0.3.EVAL (3463417037) 220-Sat Sep 01 18:47:38 2001 220-29 days remaining on evaluation. 220 taurus. X2 WS_FTP Server 2.0.3.EVAL (3463417037) Host type (1): MLSD XAUT 2 =;?88=D>=;=@;9@?=2A954D2A@>9;:D6=: 530 Invalid userid/password - I've created two domainusers (1 and 2 with same
password as loginname)
- FTP Top directory : b:\ as found in KB for not
using home directory
- Created a Virtual folder on D:\klassen\studenten
named as studenten (this folder has permissions set to everyone
All)
- The directories D:\klassen ,
D:\klassen\studenten have full control permissions for Domain Admins,
System, 1, 2
- Under the directory studenten each user has it's
own directory e.g.
d:\klassen\studenten\1 (with permissions full
control for system, domain admins and user 1)
and
d:\klassen\studenten\2 (with permissions full
control for system, domain admins and user 2)
What am I doing wrong?? The purpose is to create a
FTP site for students so they can reach their files from home.
