Chris: I am not familiar with Opalis Robot. I use the 'file received' event of WS_FTP Server to kick off an executable I wrote in VB. This determines which folder got the file (via the filename parameter), and can then spawn another program to do whatever I want -- send an email, move/copy the file, write to a log file, etc. For email, I have found that the built-in SMTP stuff is not so great on NT or Win2000, so I use a third-party control.
My app is not too robust at the moment, as it was written for a specific need. But all of the other modules are running in other executables or on a web server in ASP. Perl probably could do the same job. Dick Chris Hunt wrote: > I need to send a email when ever a file has been uploaded to folder.
